Flagship project

AI Job Agent

I built an AI-powered assistant that automates the job search. It finds roles that match what someone's looking for, writes a tailored resume and cover letter for each one, and hands back a direct link to apply. I built it solo, end to end: a Node/Express/Prisma backend, a React front end, and Claude's API doing the matching and writing. It's live now, running on Railway.

Client project

Sonobe

Sonobe is a custom furniture studio working across Ciudad Juárez and El Paso. I scoped, designed, and shipped their marketing site as the only engineer on it. It runs in English and Spanish, since their clients are on both sides of the border.

Holey Donuts is a donut shop in Denton, Texas. I built their marketing and ordering site, handling design through deployment myself, including a Korean translation of the whole site.

Claims Technology Services

Team
I lead geographically dispersed Agile teams, splitting my time evenly between hands-on architecture and engineering direction. I also lead AI adoption across the team.
Modernization
We're moving legacy VB.NET systems onto Java and Spring Boot.
Payments
I work on Pay.gov payment processing and reconciliation, including the validation and audit controls that prevent duplicate payments and hold up to regulatory review.
Distributed systems
Payment transactions run through Kafka consumers using the Saga pattern. I write KQL against Azure Data Explorer to monitor that pipeline, feeding Power BI reporting.

How I work

I use AI at every stage of building software — architecture, writing code, testing, and deployment. It lets me move faster without cutting quality. That's true for my own projects and for the client work I take on.

Background

I'm a Managing Software Engineer with over ten years in financial and insurance systems. Before Allstate I worked at State Farm, Premier Trailer Leasing, and on federal agency systems as a consultant.

I'm also the founder of IRT Solutions LLC, where I take on client work as the sole engineer, from scoping through delivery. I'm based in Carrollton, Texas.
